POSITION TITLE: PRINCIPAL RESEACRH ASSOCIATE-T CELL IMMUNOTHERAPY
LOCATION: NATICK, MASSACHUSETTS
JOB DUTIES: CANDIDATE WILL LEAD AND PARTICIPATE IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF OUR NOVEL IMMUNOTHERARY APPROACH AS PART OF OUR EXPERIENCED PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT TEAM.
CANDIDATE WILL CONDUCT AND SUPERVISE RESEARCH INTO TWO PROJECTS:
1) GNS-TEBV-001 PROJECT DESIGN AND DEVELOP T-CELLS FOR THE TREATMENT OF CANCER (60%)
2) COVID-19 PROJECT DESIGN AND DEVELOP T-CELLS AGAINST COVID-19 VIRUS (40%)
DUTIES AND PERCENTAGE OF TIME DEVOTED TO EACH PROJECT:

DESIGN AND DEVELOP:
1. APPROACHES TO PRIME, GROW AND EXPAND T CELLS FOR SMALL- AND LARGE-SCALE TISSUE CULTURES (10%)
2. ASSAYS TO CHARACTERIZE T CELL SUBSETS IN HUMAN T CELL LINES AND PATIENT SAMPLES (10%)
3. CELL-BASED ASSAYS TO ASSESS T CELL FUNCTION (10%)

WRITE PROTOCOLS AND STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES (SOPS) FOR CLOSED-SYSTEM MANUFACTURING (10%)

PREPARE AND PRESENT EXPERIMENTAL METHODS AND RESULTS (10%)
-
PREPARE TECHNICAL REPORTS TO SUPPORT PROCESS DEVELOPMENT/IND FILING (15%)
-
SUPERVISE AND TRAIN RESEARCH ASSOCIATE (15%)

FACILITATE TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER OF MANUFACTURING PROCESS TO GOOD MANUFACTURING PROCESS (GMP) AT UNIVERSITIES AND
COMMERCIAL CONTRACT MANUFACTURERS (20%)
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: BA in Biology or Neuroscience plus 2 years of experience Biology Laboratory Research Position.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: GOOD MANUFACTURING PRACTICE-LAB EXPERIENCE WITH CLOSED-SYSTEM MANUFACTURING OF T-CELL
PRODUCTS; HANDS-ON EXP SETTING UP TISSUE CULTURES, PERFORMING FLOW CYTOMETRY-BASED ASSAYS, AND ELISPOT ASSAYS. EXPERIENCE WRITING EXPERIMENTAL PROTOCOLS. AVAILABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS AND OVERTIME IF NECESSARY
DOMESTIC TRAVEL TO UNIVERSITIES AND COMMERCIAL MANUFACTURING FACILITIES MAY BE REQUIRED.
